Welcome to the Downriver Campus

Located on approximately 100 acres of farmland and woods at 21000 Northline Road in Taylor, Michigan, the Downriver Campus was built in 1978, and includes a 7-acre woodland preserve with a winding path used for nature walks by students, faculty, staff and residents of the surrounding community. The building is barrier-free, with ample parking on either side of the campus. The design of the building affords a view of the surrounding woodlands from virtually every classroom and office. The Downriver Campus is conveniently located near Interstate 94 and Interstate 75, as well as several secondary connecting roads.

In 2005, the District constructed the Michigan Institute for Public Safety Education (MIPSE) a state-of-the-art, 10-acre. $6 million facility - which houses a 5-story fire tower, a 12,000 square-foot training center, a 50,000 square-foot driver training area, and a man-made lake for water rescue simulations. The MIPSE facility also includes simulators for aircraft, vehicle, and ship rescue missions.

We welcome you to our beautiful campus.
