Agency awards may cover tuition, provide monthly stipends, and/or pay other educational expenses. The following agencies have assisted students at Wayne County Community College District.
AMERICORP
The eligibility criteria stipulate that you must utilize AMERICORP funds to repay existing or future qualified educational loans, or to pay for the cost of attendance at a qualified college. If eligible, you must submit copy of voucher.
Bureau of Indian Affairs
The eligibility criteria stipulate that you must be:
- A member of a federally recognized American Indian Tribe;
- Enrolled in a public college or university; and
- Demonstrate financial need

Michigan Commission on Indian Affairs
The eligibility criteria stipulate that you must be:
- One quarter or more quantum blood Indian certified by tribe and
- Enrolled in a public Michigan college or university

Tuition Incentive Program (TIP)
The eligibility criteria stipulate that a student must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted alien with a permanent status;
- Be a Michigan resident;
- Apply prior to high school graduation or GED completion; and
- Be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
The Family Independence Agency determines eligibility based on the receipt of Medicaid for 24 months prior to TIP application. See your campus financial aid officer for additional information.
Michigan Rehabilitation Services
The eligibility criteria stipulate that you must have a physical or mental disability resulting in a handicap to employment.
