Honors Program

The Honors Program at Wayne County Community College District is designed to promote scholarship, leadership and civic engagement. The mission of the Honors Programs is to provide an exceptional educational experience to a diverse group of high-achieving students in an environment that nurtures the growth of the whole student, academically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually.

The program recognizes and cultivates academic excellence through active participation in coursework and seminars, study abroad opportunities, service learning projects, internships and mentoring. Participants selected for the program will also have opportunities to present papers at local conferences and attend special events including those sponsored by the international honors society for two-year colleges, PHI THETA KAPPA.
