Our Institutes are designed to provide students with a vast range of skill- building classes enabling them to develop and refine their competency in a particular area of interest.

AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE INSTITUTE

The Sign Language Institute provides a series of courses designed for individuals interacting with the deaf community.  These courses enhance understanding of ASL and Deaf culture in order to strengthen one’s knowledge and communication skills. Sign Language

BUSINESS INSTITUTE

ENTREPRENEURIAL INSTITUTE AND RESOURCE CENTER

The Entrepreneurial Institute and Resource Center serves as part of a network of business and economic development resources serving Southeastern Michigan. Offering a wide range of services and programs,the Institute provides assistance to potential IMG_3611ds
and existing small business owners in the development of their businesses. 

Services offered are:

  • Real estate business exchange

  • Small business incubation

MICHIGAN INSTITUTE FOR PUBLIC SAFETY EDUCATION (MIPSE)

MIchigan Institute for Public Safety Education

The Michigan Institute for Public Safety Education (MIPSE) is heralded nationally to be one of the finest of its kind in the emergency training field.  Emergency Response Education and Training Services are provided in a safe and controlled environment.  Homeland Security, Fire, Law Enforcement, EMS and industrial personnel are trained at the state, regional and national level.

The Non-Profit Management Institute offers courses that prepare individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to establish and manage non-profit organizations effectively and efficiently.  Specialized training is provided for persons employed in the non-profit sector seeking additional training in their field or individuals who would like to make a career change.
