Loan Repayment

Student loans must be repaid once you graduate, withdraw completely or enroll for less than 6 credit hours. Failure to repay your loans may result in severe damage to your credit score and eligibility for future financial aid. It is important to manage your debt wisely, including your student loans. If you find yourself unable to make your student loan payments, there are many options available to assist you. Eligibility

  • A loan request must be completed to initiate loan processing.
  • Entrance counseling must be completed before a loan will be processed.
  • Students with 0-30 credit hours successfully completed may borrow up to $3,500.
  • Students with 31-60 credit hours successfully completed may borrow up to $4,500.
  • You must maintain at least a half time enrollment status.

Entrance Counseling

Completing Entrance Counseling is required to receive your student loan.

Exit Counseling

It is a federal government requirement that students complete student loan Exit Counseling prior to graduating or dropping below 6 credit hours.

Master Promissory Note (MPN)

The Master Promissory Note (MPN) is a binding legal document. When signed, you are agreeing to repay your loan under certain terms.  You will receive notification in the mail from Nelnet when your MPN is ready to be signed.  At that time you will click on the link provided on this page.
