Wayne County Community College
District utilizes and offers a variety of services to maximize student learning and to
increase staff and faculty efficiency. Banner, the College's enterprise
system, is used to support all administrative functions of the
District including Student Services, Financial Services, Purchasing, Accounts Receivable, Human Resources, and Payroll. The Banner support team provides the WCCCD community with modifications and enhancements of the Banner product, development of reports and processes, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of third party applications. Technologies currently in use include the Oracle 10g Database, Oracle Forms 10g, Oracle Reports 10g, Oracle 10g Application Server, UNIX, Java, and the Microsoft Internet Information Server.
WCCCD’s Information Technology Department also provides email access to faculty and staff via Microsoft Outlook. New hires are provided with the email request form as part of their
New Hire package and an email address is provided upon approval by Department Head. Other services offered by Information Technology includes: Data security and backup, programming and software support, monitoring and maintaining all computing and storage hardware, maintain database performance, protection, and reliability.
