We can assist you in the development and implementation of a training program that supports your organization’s effort to strengthen and develop new skills. We offer world class training utilizing content experts, at any of our five campuses. Training can be credit, non-credit, or CEUs. Instructional delivery methods include on-line or distance learning strategies that are cost effective.
Michigan Institute for Public Safety Education
The Michigan Institute for Public Safety Education (MIPSE) is a comprehensive public education program that provides both credit and non-credit programs in Fire, Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Emergency Medical Services, and Industrial and Home Safety. Special events and customized training are also available. While based at the Downriver Emergency Training Complex on the Downriver Campus, programs and services are offered district wide, on all campuses and offsite locations to better service the public. CVS Regional Learning Center
The CVS Regional Learning Center is housed at the Eastern Campus, and serves as a model business and educational partnership designed to train a skilled workforce for the retail pharmacy industry. One of the primary functions of the Center is to train entry level employees for CVS. Additionally, through partnerships with a variety of public and private agencies, training is provided for unemployed, underemployed and incumbent workers throughout southeastern Michigan.
Hospitality/Retail Career Center
Operating as a collaborative partnership with the Workforce Development Department of the City of Detroit, Goodwill Industries, CVS Pharmacy and Motor City Casino, the Division provides entry level training for unemployed persons seeking career opportunities in the hospitality and retail industry. Participants receive national certification through the American Hotel and Lodging Association, and the National Retail Federation.
