Career Planning & Placement

The Career Planning & Placement Department assists students in identifying full-time, part-time and graduate employment opportunities. Current job openings are posted in all Campus CP&P Offices. Students are also given assistance in exploring a variety of Internet job posting sites. On-campus employer interviews are scheduled for students. College-wide Job Fairs are held 2-3 times each year.

The Career Planning & Placement Department posts all job opportunities on our WCCCD/College Central Network job site. Students and alumni may go to

College Central Website Job Site (click here)

this site to register to view jobs and to post resumes. Resumes posted to our resume database may be e-mailed directly to employers using the WCCCD/College Central Network system. Individuals may explore occupational information using such resources as the Michigan Occupational Information System (MOIS), a State of Michigan information system which provides detailed occupational information and related education, assessment and training data.

Students and graduates receive assistance in preparing resumes, cover letters, and in improving interviewing skills through use of employability development programs located in the Career Planning & Placement Offices. Job Seeking Skills workshops are also offered at each campus. Referrals are made to testing and advising services where students receive assistance in identifying interests, aptitude and abilities, and in relating these to career choices.

The Career Planning & Placement Department also administers entrance tests for the health related programs (HOBET) at the College several times during the year.
