Admission Requirements
The WCCCD EMT Program admits Paramedic students once a year in the Fall semesters. Prospective students are required to submit the following:
- The student must fulfill WCCCD Admission requirements.
- Comply with all college admission policies
- Be eligible to take college level course courses
- The student must meet one or more of the following academic requirements:
- Score 75 or higher on the Reading Comprehension portion of the Compass test.
- Have completed 12 college credits or more with a “C” or better
The student must provide the following
- Copy of Basic EMT License
- Copy of transcript or Accuplacer scores
- physical exam by a licensed physician completed within one year
- Record of immunization, including HBV Tetanus, MMR, Chicken Pox, Covid, Negative TB Test or chest X-ray.
- Completed Particulate Respirator Medical Evaluation
- Copy of any current CPR card, licenses and/or certificates
- Result of Criminal background check
WCCCD Public Safety Programs will not accept any incomplete applications
Paramedic Outcomes
Each year Students graduate from the Emergency Medical Technology Program –Paramedic. These Paramedic graduates are eligible for the Paramedic National Registry Exam. This table displays the Paramedic Program Enrollment and Attrition for the past three Paramedic Cohorts.
