Taking a test or quiz

Online courses will typically have quizzes, tests, or exams.

There are different formats for testing on Blackboard: multiple choice, short answer, essay, true/false, fill in the blank.

Instructors may place limitations or restrictions¬† including but not limited to: time limit, due date (test will no longer be posted after a certain date), whether you have only attempt or multiple attempts to take ¬†the quiz/test, and whether you have to complete the whole quiz/test once you’ve started (for example, you cannot answer the first question, leave the others blank, then save and exit to finish at a later time).

Some tests are also sensitive to whether you open another browser window or tab and will lock students out of a test/quiz if this happens.

Note: If you experience any problems with a quiz or test before you finish, you should contact your instructor immediate to reset the quiz or test.
