Let’s Walk It Out
Wayne County Community College District’s School of Continuing Education presents
A Mental Health Awareness Journey
Join us as we raise awareness about the importance of mental health and show support for those who may be struggling. Walking is a simple yet powerful act that benefits both body and mind. Whether you're walking for yourself, a loved one, or simply to support the cause, your presence matters.
Walk Route and Schedule:
We’ll begin our walk at Wayne County Community College District’s Curtis L. Ivery District Office. Please meet us at 12:45 p.m., directly in front of the Information Security Desk.
From there, we’ll walk together to Campus Martius Park at 1:00 p.m. When we arrive at Campus Martius we’ll gather for a brief program focused on the importance of mental health, self-care, and community support. After the speeches and shared moments of reflection, we’ll walk back to the District as a united group ending the walk at 2:00 p.m.
What to Bring:
Wear loose, breathable clothing and comfortable walking shoes. We recommend bringing a water bottle and anything else you need to stay comfortable along the way.
Let’s walk, talk, and take steps toward a healthier, more compassionate Detroit.
