The Detroit Urban Summit Series: Youth Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Rebuilding Communities and Lives is the first of its kind series of national summits convened by Wayne County Community College District Chancellor Dr. Curtis L. Ivery and the WCCCD Institute for Social Progress (ISP) focusing on the complex social, educational, and mental health issues that impact the success and vitality of young people across the nation. This is the first of a series of national youth conferences, part of WCCCD’s Urban Summit Series, that examines these issues through the lens of our younger generations, and the unique solutions that may be brought to bear.
