Come see Gardner's Latest Works at the Northwest Campus
DETROIT, Mich. – Feb. 14, 2023 – An exhibit featuring the paintings and sculpture of renowned Detroit-based artist M. Saffell Gardner will open with a 5:30 p.m. reception Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Wayne County Community College District’s Brown and Juanita C. Ford Gallery at the Curtis L. Ivery Downtown Campus. The campus is located at 1001 West Fort Street in Detroit. The reception and exhibit are open to the public at no cost. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. through 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Ivery, Chancellor of Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD), will be honored as the recipient of the 2026 Civil Rights and Social Justice Award by the Florida-based National Education and Empowerment Coalition on Thursday, June 18, 2026, during its 15th Annual National Civil Rights Conference.
