DETROIT, Mich. – March 16, 2023 – An exhibit featuring the paintings by nationally renowned artist Harold Allen is now open at the Wayne County Community College District’s Brown and Juanita C. Ford Gallery at the Northwest Campus. The gallery is located inside the Larry K. Lewis Education Center at 8200 West Outer Drive in Detroit. The reception and exhibit are open to the public at no cost. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. through 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“Community Consciousness” Exhibit
Eighty-one artists from across southeast Michigan will present their works in the annual “Community Consciousness” art exhibit, opening Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Brown and Juanita C. Ford Art Gallery located on the Wayne County Community College District’s Curtis L. Ivery Downtown Campus. The exhibit opens with a 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. reception on September 4 and is open to the public at no cost. The exhibit is on view through November 5, 2025.
