Master Photographer Jeff Cancelosi Opens Exhibit at WCCCD’s Brown and Juanita C. Ford Art Gallery, Celebrating Detroit and Michigan-Based Artists
DETROIT, Mich. – May 30, 2024 – Renowned fine art photographer Jeff Cancelosi will showcase his new exhibit, “My Greatest Hits … So Far”, at Wayne County Community College District’s (WCCCD) Brown and Juanita C. Ford Art Gallery at the Northwest Campus from June 4 through August 8, 2024.
An opening reception will be held on Tuesday, June 4, from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., open to the public at no cost.
Cancelosi’s latest project highlights portraits of Detroit and Michigan-based artists and creators, inspired by the iconic 1961 book “The Artist’s World” by Fred W. McDarrah, which documented New York’s Abstract Expressionist movement.
“My mission is to raise up all the artists creating around us, no matter who they are, what their backgrounds are, or where they are in their careers,” said Cancelosi. “I strive to capture insight into every individual to raise the visibility of both the person and also the complex and rich tapestry of the art world in Detroit and surrounding areas.”
