Financial Aid Terms and Conditions
As a recipient of financial aid, I understand:
- I must regularly monitor the Financial Aid website, my WCCCD email, Web-Gate messages and text updates from WCCCD Student Forms for important messages and information.
- The Pell Grant amount, if stated, is for full-time enrollment (12+ credit hours) per semester. If I enroll in less than 12 credit hours, my award will be reduced or eliminated; I have a 6 credit hour minimum for Federal Work Study and student loans.
- I must meet the standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) to maintain my financial aid eligibility. If I fail to meet SAP standards, or adhere to my SAP academic plan, I will lose my eligibility and will be responsible for all expenses I incur. (See https://www.wcccd.edu/financial-aid/satisfactory-academic-progress)
- I must be pursuing an eligible degree or a certificate in a financial aid eligible program.
- WCCCD may adjust my award when warranted. This may require that I repay awarded funds.
- If I have significant financial changes, I may appeal my award by submitting a Special Circumstance Appeal on WCCCD Student Forms.
- If I withdraw or stop attending all of my classes, I may lose part or all of my aid and/or owe a balance to WCCCD or the U.S. Dept. of Education.
- Aid will not be disbursed until my attendance is verified for all of my classes.
- Aid will be applied to my tuition and other authorized charges; any balance left will be paid to me.
- The maximum Lifetime Eligibility (LEU) for Pell Grants is the equivalent of 12 full time semesters or 600%. Once I reach the maximum LEU, I am no longer eligible to receive Pell Grant funds.
- I will stay aware of my financial aid history by monitoring it on https://studentaid.gov.
