Wayne County Community College District proudly invites students, faculty, staff, and community members to join us for Black History Month 2026. Throughout February, WCCCD will host a dynamic series of educational, cultural, and artistic programs that honor the profound contributions of Africans and African Americans to our nation and the world.

All events are open to the public at no cost, unless otherwise noted.

About Black History Month at WCCCD

Presented by the Division of Student Services and the School of Continuing Education, Black History Month at WCCCD offers month-long programming designed to educate, inspire, and engage. Our events highlight history, innovation, entrepreneurship, wellness, music, film, and community dialogue, creating space for reflection, celebration, and action.
